About the Author:

J R Moon is a queer, black, indie author and freelance writer of everything fantasy. He uses he/they/hyr pronouns, and lives with autism, hypersomnia, anxiety and chronic pain. When asked if there was anything in particular that I should mention in this entry, they had this to say:

“The goal of my work is to represent the underrepresented!”- J R Moon, 02/05/2024

This is a sentiment that runs true through hyr work. On his wattpad Moon states that a goal of their work is to “write for kids, teens, adults…who look like me“. They release books on Wattpad to ensure that their work is as accessible to everyone as possible, being greatly aware that not everyone can afford to buy a bew book or have access to a library! Moon also does a lot of work in relation to uplifting and platforming black creators- including writers, game developers, rolplayers, and “black nerds in general”.

In addition to writing fantasy and fiction, he also runs a roleplay server and server for the black trans community, and is planning to open an Etsy shop in the future which would sell merchandise in relation to his work.

This entry is so late. I was meant to post it on Monday but my internet has not been cooperating at all. The fact it’s working now is nothing short of a miracle.

I first came across Moon when I was looking for more books to add to the archive, and he has been more than helpful in putting this entry together. I am very thankful for it!
