Can I submit a book?

Yes you can! You can either submit an entry through The Archive’s Tumblr page or using the google form, which you can access through any of the site’s “Submit A Book” buttons.

Are there images? Are they described?

Yes and yes! Both with a physical description (directly under or as close as possible to the image) and in alt text, where possible.

How often is The Archive updated?

Monthly. Or as and when new books are found. One person runs the Archive so updates may not always follow a consistent schedule.

How can I support The Archive?

You can submit a book. The Archive is built on community submissions, and I would love it if that was able to continue. You can also comment and tell me where/if I’ve made a mistake somewhere- even something as simple as a spelling error- or if there’s anything you think should be added to an entry. And share it! Tell your friends, family, etc. Please!

Do you have links to the books?

No. But I aim to provide as much information as possible so that you can find/purchase them yourself. I do provide the EISBN/DOI numbers for the non-fiction books when possible.

Do I have to pay anything to access the archive?

No, The Archive is completely free!

How do I search for a book?

You could use the search bar if there’s a specific one you want to check for. However, if you’re searching for specific representation and/or genres, we also have the ‘Disability’, ‘LGBTQ+’ and ‘Genre’ lists in the navigation bar. Use the tag feature if you’re searching for a specific theme. If you press the “The Archive” button, you should be taken to a list of every category on the website. You can also use the masterlist buttons and search alphabetically, by title!

If you want to see books that I have read, you can check out the Read by Archivist tag.

I have a problem with a book. What can I do about it?

Comment on the entry and let me know what your issue is, contact the Archive’s blog, use the contact form. I will do my best to look into and rectify any and all complaints. I just ask that you’re respectful about it.
